Dr. Percival Ricketts

     Dr. Percival G. Ricketts, EdD, LMHC, NCC, DCMHS.

Dr. Percival Ricketts is a Psychotherapist, National Board Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Parenting and Divorce consultant. He is a Diplomate and Clinical Mental Health Trauma Specialist of the American Mental Health Counselors Association, and he has been in private practice in Pembroke Pines, Florida, for over two decades. He is an alumnus of Virginia Tech, Nova Southeastern University, Argosy University and Glenmuir High School in Jamaica. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science, a Master of Science Degree in Mental Health Counseling and a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology. Dr. Ricketts enjoys counseling individuals, couples and families of diverse backgrounds, teaching, and supervising counseling interns for licensure. He is the author of several books on a wide variety of topics, and he developed the “Parenting for Separated & Divorcing Moms & Dads” curriculum, which is available at www.parentingfordivorce.com. This curriculum, is a 4-hour, parenting education and family stabilization program that is approved by the Florida Department of Children and Families. Divorcing parents with minor children and those who are involved in paternity cases in the Florida courts, must complete this type of program before their legal actions can be finalized. Dr. Ricketts speaks Spanish with advanced fluency and he maintains active memberships in numerous local, national and international counseling-related and other organizations.
